Dr. Swatek is extremely proud to be the owner of Plymouth Veterinary Hospital.
She purchased the practice from Dr. Vyvian Gorbea in May of 2025 and is excited to continue the tradition of high quality care and personalized service that people have come to expect at Plymouth Vet. In an age when many veterinary hospitals are owned by large out of state corporations and investment groups (even if they do not appear that way), when you come to Plymouth Vet, you are supporting a locally owned small business and helping our community thrive.
Dr. Swatek earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2009, and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is a member of the American, Michigan, and Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Associations and the American Animal Hospital Association. She is also Fear-Free Certified. She enjoys working with cats and dogs and also has a special interest in exotic animal species.
In her free time, she likes to spend time outdoors and travel with her husband John, attend rock concerts, and play with her cats Cedrick, Suzie, and Tortie.
