Dr. Lauren Switzer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Alma College and graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She is a Dearborn Heights native and practiced in the downriver area before joining the Plymouth team in October 2025.
Dr. Switzer’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming bonds with her patients and supporting their humans through all stages of their pet’s lives. She has a passion for preventative medicine, behavioral concerns, and compassionate end-of-life care. She is a current member of the American, Michigan, and Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Associations.
Dr. Switzer now resides in Ypsilanti with her husband, Noah, and their cat, Zoey. She is an avid Detroit sports fan in all seasons, and her favorite place is Comerica Park on a summer evening. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her niece and nephews, trying new restaurants, and bleeding Spartan green.
